1970s opal and diamond boat ring on 18ct gold
1970s opal and diamond boat ring on 18ct gold
A vintage opal and diamond boat ring on 18ct gold.
This pretty ring is a lovely example of a carved boat ring style piece which features opals and diamonds.
It has 3 graduating opal stones which are beautifully polished and in good condition. The largest central stone is .33ct (5x3.5mm) and the two shoulder stones are around .25ct each. The opals are interspersed with 4 accent diamonds with a white gold geometric cross design.
The stones are set in a sturdy carved 18ct gold gallery with a swirling pattern, which tapers down onto the shoulders of the ring shank.
All three opals have very good play of colour, favouring blue, purple and orange tones and have only very light surface pitting.
The shank is slightly off rounded but otherwise in good vintage condition.
Fully hallmarked and in lovely condition.
