9ct gold Edwardian bar brooch with sapphire and seed pearl - 1897
9ct gold Edwardian bar brooch with sapphire and seed pearl - 1897
An antique 9ct gold bar brooch, from the Edwardian period.
This bar brooch is beautifully engraved and features decorative openwork at the base and top, with two central medium blue natural sapphire stones along with a sweet antique seed pearl.
The brooch is fully hallmarked and has a coveted Chester hallmark with a date stamp to 1897, making this piece over 120 years old - and still in wonderful condition. It also has a maker's mark and the pin and hinge are in working order with no signs of damage.
This piece has obviously been carefully loved for a long time and we hope it will continue to be for many years to come. Would make a lovely collar pin and the dimensions mean it would also work as a very special tie pin as well.
