Antique art deco diamond ring
Antique art deco diamond ring
An antique art deco diamond solitaire ring
This antique piece is a classic design from the art deco period and features a stunning central round brilliant cut diamond, assessed as colour G-H and clarity SI2/SI1, at .20ct. The stone is set into a rubover setting which makes this piece a perfect engagement ring as the stone is well protected in the setting.
There are a further 4 eight cut accent diamonds in the shoulders of around .005ct each (.020ct total), set into a beautifully detailed engraved setting and shoulders.
This is a hand assembled ring dating to around the early 20th century and made in 18ct gold and with white gold across the shoulders and onto the setting. The band is marked for platinum however metal testing suggests this might be white gold, not platinum.
Some evidence of rhodium wear on the base of the gallery, but this is not seen on the main part of the gallery or shoulders. Slight wear to the engraving on one shoulder.
This piece has been independently assessed with a replacement retail value of £965, from the Guild of Valuers and Jewellers. An insurance certificate will be provided to the buyer after purchase.
Not hallmarked as the piece pre-dates hallmarking requirements, but metal tested.
