An antique belcher set diamond solitaire ring on 18ct gold.
This style of ring is a staple for any antique collector. The clawed belcher setting all points to a stunning .25ct round brilliant cut diamond with an open back setting; guaranteed to let in maximum light and show off its sparkle. The diamond is assessed as F/G in colour and I1/I2 clarity.
This is a chunky piece with the shoulders around 5mm wide and the base of the shank 3mm, with a total weight of 4.85g of 18ct gold.
Technically on the cusp of vintage/antique as this piece is not quite 100 years old – but was made in 1930 and bears Chester hallmarks. In good condition with some expected scuffing to the shank commensurate with age.
This piece has been independently assessed by the Guild of Valuers and Jewellers and has a new replacement valuation of £1,425. An insurance certificate to this value will be provided following sale.
