A 9ct gold engraved circular mourning locket with decorative bail.
This glass locket is antique and has a beautiful engraved pattern to the edging, and on the bail and hinge, plus a circular design on the rear. Appears to be a mourning pendant/locket of likely Georgian age, based on the design.
The bail at the top of the locket has lovely detailing and a large bail so this piece would be suitable for adding to a chunky gold chain.
The locket is not hallmarked but it appears to have a solid gold back with rolled gold on the edging and bail. The inside may have been plated with silver or nickel.
Please note a chain is not included with this piece.
Scratches and scuffs inside the locket which wont be visible once a photo is added. Slight superficial crack on the back. Edging in good condition. Wear to the bail but in working order.
