A vintage opal and diamond bar brooch on 9ct rose gold.
A simple but beautiful 9ct gold bar brooch which features a central opal stone estimated at around 1.65ct. It has a luminous transparency with subtle plays of colour throughout including green, orange and pink. The opal is in good condition with no obvious scratches or nibbles.
The opal is set within 4 diamond stones at each point, of around .02ct each and all claw set.
The diamonds have a bright colour and are well matched.
Not hallmarked but metal tests at 9ct gold.

The brooch pin, catch and hinge are in good condition and functioning. Please note as this is a functioning brooch it has a sharp point at the end of the pin, please take care when using.
