An antique garnet and seed pearl ring on 9ct gold

This stunning antique piece dates to 1907 and has some really beautiful features. It has 5 graduating purple/red garnet stones all of which are rose cut, in an oval shape. The garnets are set in a bezel style setting which overlaps each stone to keep it secure and the gallery is designed in a wavy shape, around each stone. The garnets are perfectly complimented by accent seed pearls.

The shank itself has a decorative engraving around the base and into the shoulder, which are tapered into the gallery. The stones have a closed back setting and the largest central stone measures 5x3mm.  

This is a really lovely old piece but does show some signs of wear as a result. There is a join mark at the back of the setting and on one shoulder suggesting a previous repair or resize and a very small chip to the facets of one garnet stone.
