Antique sapphire and diamond halo cluster ring on 18ct gold

An Edwardian style antique sapphire and diamond cluster ring, on 18ct yellow gold.

The lovely inky blue sapphire stone is surrounded by 8 diamonds, all set into white gold claws.  The sapphire stone is around .30ct with wear to some of the central facets. The diamonds are around .03ct each, with a total diamond weight of around .24ct. 

This piece has a lovely presence on the hand due to its raised gallery, and it sits around 7mm from the hand including the sapphire stone. The ring head is around 10mm diameter.

Two claws are shortened but remain functional and with no impact on stone security. Claw wear is reflected in the price. Some scuffs to the stone commensurate with age.
