A vintage diamond ring on 18ct gold and platinum with personal engraving from 1938 

A vintage diamond ring very typical of the art deco era and featuring a lovely bright central diamond of around .20ct in a platinum setting, in a square frame and with detailing in the corners.

The central diamond is shouldered by a trio of tiny diamonds on each side in circular settings, which add a really lovely tapered effect to this piece.

The shank bears an original engraving dated 14.07.1938 and reads “J.F – J.G.M.T”, which likely represent the initials of the original recipient of this beautiful piece.

As seen in photos the setting for the central diamond shows slight separation from the shoulder detail which has created an off-square shape. However, all stones are secure and no further evidence of damage. This previous damage is reflected in the price.
