A vintage opal and diamond halo cluster ring on 18ct gold.
This stunning opal ring is one of our favourite finds for a long time! A beautifully crafted and well made piece in high purity gold.
The opal in this ring is an oval cabochon cut stone measuring 1.3ct (9.8x7.9mm) with a mixed play of colour with strong green and orange tones throughout. The opal benefits from a recent light polish and has only minor surface abrasions.
The opal is surrounded by a halo of 14 round brilliant cut diamonds, ranging in colour from H-M and with a clarity rating of I2. Each stone is around .03ct, giving this piece a total diamond weight of .42ct.
Set in a sturdy 18ct gold setting with white gold claws and setting around the diamonds, meeting a yellow gold finger bezel and shoulders.
Fully hallmarked and in very good condition.
This piece has been independently assessed and valued by the Guild of Valuers and Jewellers and their pre-sale report can be viewed in the photos. A personalised insurance valuation certificate will be provided following completion of our normal returns window.
Complimentary resizing can be arranged for sizes between L1/2 to P1/2.
