This dainty necklace is simple and stylish with a bezel set round opal stone, set into a 9ct gold raised setting.
The opal measures around 7.5mm diameter and the setting depth is around 3mm.
The setting is hallmarked for Birmingham and 9ct gold, and the gold chain is also stamped 9ct.
The vintage opal stone has good play of colour favouring pinks, purples and blues throughout. There is a slight visible inclusion to one side which is almost surface reaching.
The bail has a small dent on the side where the hallmarks are, which can be seen in the photos. Some scuffing to the base of the setting commensurate with age.
The gold chain is included and is around 38cm total length.
